Men’s Golf Finishes Strong at Otter Invitational, Ties for 6th

SEASIDE, CALIF. – The WNMU Men’s golf team delivered a solid performance at the Otter Invitational held at the Bayonet Golf Course in Seaside, CA. The Mustangs tied for 6th place overall, finishing with a team score of 888 over three rounds (299-298-291).

Leading the way for Western New Mexico was Max Kaesebier (Bad Langensalza, Germany/Pierre-de-Coubertin Gymnasium), who shot rounds of 75, 71, and 70 to post an impressive 216, tying him for 6th place individually. Kaesebier’s strong finish, including a final-round 70, helped the team remain competitive in a tough field.

Teammate Tomas Ribeiro (Porto Seguro, BR/Evolução Centro HS) also had an excellent showing, tying for 17th place. His consistent play across the tournament saw him improve in the final round, carding a 70 to close with a total of 219 (75-74-70)…
