Charges of attempted murder are being weighed in Honolulu after an incident involving a 36-year-old woman who allegedly fired a handgun at her ex-boyfriend in the University Area. According to Hawaii News Now, the encounter took place on Saturday night and was followed by an immediate area search for the suspect’s vehicle.

The report by the Honolulu Police Department (HPD) details that the woman shot at her 40-year-old ex-partner and fled, causing an all-points bulletin (APB) to be issued for her car. Parked in the woman’s located vehicle was found in the Kapolei area, where, at around 12:29 a.m., the suspect was taken into custody.
