Lamborghini driver files lawsuit against city after receiving noise fine for car’s factory build

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A Staten Island driver filed a lawsuit last week against the city after receiving a fine for the noise from his Lamborghini, arguing that he did not modify the sound and that it’s not fair.

The fine was issued under the Stop Spreading the Noise Act, a law passed last year aimed at cracking down on cars and motorcycles that generate excessive noise.

Anthony Aquilino is now challenging the $800 fine he received after his Lamborghini Huracan Performante was recorded exceeding the city’s noise limit near the Lincoln Tunnel.

Aquilino told 1010 WINS that the new law is being unfairly enforced against those who haven’t made any modifications…
