Are you ready for a foot-stompin’, hand-clappin,’ and a deliciously good time?
The Country Bears are back and have taken over this tasty barbecue spot. The Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree in Bayou Country is officially open, and we are ready to indulge.
We stopped by for a look at the re-imagined dining location and tried some of the delicious new eats. The result? We were not disappointed!
Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree
Join your favorite bears as they re-imagined the original Hungry Bear restaurant, which closed in July of this year.
Henry, Wendell, Big Al, and the rest of the Country Bears are back and ready to share their favorite regional barbecue dishes.
The restaurant soft opened on October 24th and officially opened on October 25th!
Posters of your favorite furry friends greet guests as they enter the quick service location, and music from the Country Bear Jamboree plays in the restaurant.
The new menu boasts an excellent selection of delicious quick-service barbeque fare, tasty refreshments, and, of course, home-style desserts. Here is what we tried!
Mouthwatering Eats
First up, we tried the Smoked Barbecue Combo Platter for $21.49. The platter includes a selection of House-smoked Meats with Baked Beans, Coleslaw, White Bread, and Pickled Vegetables.
Guests choose 2: Pork Spareribs, Pulled Pork, Sausage Link, or Beef Brisket. Ribs can also be ordered on the kids’ options.
This platter is excellent if you are hungry and comes with a lot of tasty food! The ribs and the brisket were both tender with a nice smoky flavor.
We also really liked the new beer-battered fries! They are crispy seasoned fries, and the texture and flavor were perfect- definitely some of the best in the parks…
