The Irvine Police Department (IPD) is investigating the homicide of a 53-year-old Irvine resident.
This morning, at about 6:21 a.m., IPD responded to 55 Fortuna East after a resident at the home reported stabbing his roommate.
When the police officers arrived, they were met outside the residence by a male who said he got into a physical altercation with his roommate when the stabbing occurred. The man, identified as 22-year-old Irvine resident Zackery Dean Hinkle , was detained as additional officers entered the home…
