WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Rain will overspread the area during the overnight hours and throughout the day on Friday. Some of it will be heavy at times and when it comes to an end, much of the state will have picked up at least an inch of rain. The heaviest totals will most likely setup across south central and southwest Kansas.
Expect the rain to shut off Friday night as the entire system lifts to the north by Saturday. There will be some leftover clouds over the northern half of Kansas, but dry weather is likely throughout the weekend. Highs will be in the 50s on Saturday, and then should warm into the 60s coming up on Sunday. Lighter winds are more likely by the end of the weekend.
A fast moving system will pass through the area next week. Rain chances are slim, but some showers may pop up along and east of I-135 by Wednesday morning. The amounts should be very light…
