Big second half powers Panthers past Buhler 43-26

GREAT BEND, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) – Ian Premer is one of the top football recruits in Kansas for a reason. All the Great Bend junior did in Friday’s grudge match against Buhler was catch five passes – all for touchdowns totaling 168 yards – and intercept a pass. That effort, mostly in one-on-one coverage, helped the Panthers avenge last year’s loss to the Crusaders 43-26.

“That’s what they’re known for,” Premer said. “They’re usually a good defensive pass team. They play a lot of cover-zero and cover-one. That’s what they play and they don’t really adjust. That didn’t work for them tonight but they’re truly a great team and their defense is pretty solid.”
