Digging out from winter storm a slow, steady process for rural Kansans

GARDEN PLAIN, Kan. (KWCH) – As areas across Kansas begin to rebound from the latest winter storm, rural areas and townships with unpaved roads have a lot of work to do.

“It takes horsepower to move that snow and there’s not a whole lot I can do when I don’t get traction,” said Michael Rausch, working to clear dozens of miles of road in Garden Plain.
