Former Eagles WR Cut by AFC Team Before Roster Deadline

With the majority of preseason games done, teams are now tasked with cutting down their rosters ahead of Tuesday’s deadline. That means several familiar names are expected to be on the move in coming days as squads decide who is their best fit for them entering Week 1.

In fact, one former Philadelphia Eagle has already been kicked to the curb.

The Indianapolis Colts were one of several teams to make several cuts on Sunday, Among them was wide receiver Greg Ward, who obviously sticks out as a once-Eagles wideout.

Despite going undrafted in 2017, Ward caught on in Philadelphia as a practice squad player. He eventually made his NFL regular-season debut in 2019 and went on to appear in 40 games for the Eagles over three years…
