Northgate Market Donates 500 Care Packages to Children Fighting Cancer
Northgate Market, the leading Mexican-themed grocer in Anaheim, California, this week assembled and donated more than 500 care packages to uplift the spirits of children and their families fighting cancer at Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC).
In a team effort, about 25 Northgate Market associates assembled the care packages for the children. Each dark green backpack included coloring books, crayons, apple juice, apple sauce, water bottles, puzzles, a blanket, and a handwritten note from one of the associates to the child. The grocer also gave 250 gift cards at $25 each to CHOC’s nursing staff in the Oncology Department to distribute to needy families.
Miguel González, president of Northgate Market, said, “Our collaboration with the Children’s Hospital of Orange County reflects Northgate González Market’s commitment to the well-being of children and their families during challenging times. By providing these care packages, we hope to bring smiles to the faces of young patients and offer support to their families.”…
