Klay Thompson began the next chapter of his NBA career on Thursday night with a strong debut performance with the Dallas Mavericks. Thompson logged 26 minutes in the 120-109 win over the San Antonio Spurs, impressing on both ends of the floor.
The 34-year-old, who spent the first 13 seasons of his NBA career with the Golden State Warriors, scored 22 points on 7-of-13 shooting. He knocked down 6-of-10 attempts from beyond the arc while tacking on seven rebounds and three steals.
There was no shortage of praise for the veteran marksman after the strong showing, including significant praise from star teammate Luka Dončić .
