MONTGOMERY, A.L. (WETM) – Horseheads grad Austin Teets has a shot to earn a championship ring.
Horseheads’ Austin Teets has had an impressive baseball journey and will now have a shot to earn championship gold. Teets serves as the strength and conditioning coach for the Montgomery Biscuits, the Double-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays. The Biscuits are wrapping up their season, battling for in their 1st Southern League Championship Series since 2021.
Montgomery fell in Game 1 of the series 7-2, to the Birmingham Barons on Sunday, and will hit the road for the final 2 contests. Game 2 of the championship is set for Tuesday at 8 p.m. E.T. and the if necessary 3rd game, is slated for the same time on Wednesday. The Biscuits took the semifinal series 2-1 over the Biloxi Shuckers this past Friday, and will be looking for their 1st league title since the team went back-to-back in 2007…
