The Cortlandville Town Board has approved the purchase of two security cameras to be installed at the Gutchess Lumber Sports Complex. The move comes after the town looks to increase security at the facility after the theft of a John Deere Gator back in November.
The Town will purchase two Xega 4G LTW Cellular Solar Security Cameras at a cost of $165.99 for the pair. One will be installed at the concession building with the second likely to be installed facing the entrance and parking lot to the facility.
With the purchase of the two cameras, the town will also need to add two SIM cards to the town’s monthly cellular bill, the yearly cost is $911.76. With cellular access, real-time updates and notifications can be done. Parks & Recreation Director, John McNerney, told the board he will be able to receive notifications of movement at the park.
