The Cortland Purple Tigers ended their season with a 43-6 loss in the semifinal round of the Section III Class B-2 playoff tournament against Jamesville-Dewitt Thursday night. Cortland entered the game as the No.3-seed, while Jamesville-Dewitt entered as the No.2-seed.
Cortland opened up the scoreboard in the second quarter, as junior wide receiver Iniko Abani connected with junior quarterback Connor Browngardt for a 22-yard touchdown reception to make it 6-0. However, Cortland was shutout offensively for the rest of the game.
