New York has announced a new Lead Rental Registry program in 25 counties with high-risk lead exposure, including Binghamton and Elmira.
An estimated $16 million was awarded to local health departments throughout New York to assist with rental property lead exposure. Broome County Health Department was given $3.1 million that will be distributed until 2029.
