A weather alert was issued by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 6:41 a.m. for heavy snow until 7:30 a.m. for Tioga and Broome counties.
“At 6:39 a.m., an area of moderate to heavy snow was near Owego moving east at 40 MPH,” states the weather service.
Locations impacted by the alert include Binghamton, Vestal, Johnson City, Endicott, Kirkwood, Conklin, Maine, Owego, Nanticoke and Port Dickinson.
