Major 2025 road projects: Jackson County plans to maintain or re-pave more than 50 miles

JACKSON COUNTY, MI – The new year could see improvement work and preventative maintenance on more than 50 miles of Jackson County roads, with more set to be scheduled in the coming months.

The Jackson County Department of Transportation completed roadwork on about 60 miles of local roads through paving and re-graveling efforts in 2024, said Director of Engineering Charles Briner. Department projects took place in 16 of the 19 townships in Jackson County, Briner said.

Jackson County has plans to re-pave and maintain about 49.75 miles of road countywide. The full scope of roadwork set to come in 2025 will become more clear later in the year…
