JACKSON, Miss. ( WJTV ) – Jackson Police Chief Joseph Wade plans to meet with state lawmakers in order to discuss funding for the Jackson Police Department (JPD).
Wade said he will meet with State Senator John Horhn (D-District 26) to discuss ways the department can secure additional funding.

According to the police chief, JPD reported an 81% solvability rate on all crimes in 2024. He wants to continue to improve on the work the department has done, but they need the latest technology and additional resources.
