Jackson, MS – Residents across parts of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas are under a tornado watch until 9 p.m. Saturday. The National Weather Service (NWS) warned of a “particularly dangerous situation,” with conditions favorable for multiple strong tornadoes.
According to the NWS, the tornado watch affects over two million people across the region. Damaging winds up to 80 mph and large hail are also likely. The watch includes major cities such as Jackson, Alexandria, and Monroe, where meteorologists are closely monitoring severe thunderstorms.
