William ‘Polo’ Edwards to be sentenced after murder conviction

HINDS COUNTY, Miss. ( WJTV ) – The man who was convicted of killing a local community activist in 2022 was sentenced on Tuesday, December 17.

Judge Faye Peterson sentenced William “Polo” Edwards to life in prison for first-degree murder and 10 years for being a felon in possession of a firearm. The sentences will run concurrent.

Edwards was found guilty of the charges last week in connection to the death of Better Men Society founder Robert Davis .
