HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — It’s a celebration filled with music, giveaways and the reopening of a store.
All roads led to Walmart in Humboldt where a grand reopening celebration was held Friday on the parking lot. During the celebration, the store’s manager, John-David Hood, gave the American Heart Association a $10,000 check and the Scarlet Rope Project a check for $14,500.
“We partner with the American Heart Association quite often with our company. We were able to give out AED’s to our local school systems and we’re just really proud to be able to be a part of that and to be able to give those out to the kids. Especially if they were to need them in an emergency situation,” said Hood.
He took the time to thank the workers at Walmart.
“Proud of the associates and all of the remodeling people that came to help to get the store the way it is today. I think the store looks great. I really wanted to go for a Christmas theme today, so that’s kind of how the theme of the store is,” said Hood…
