West Tennessee first responders honored for Hurricane Helene aid

Dozens of West Tennessee first responders spent weeks helping out in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.

Those 26 men and women were honored with a ceremony and a letter personally signed by former President Donald Trump. Senator Ed Jackson was at the event and shared that he believes West Tennessee has some of the best first responders in the nation.

“They took time away from their family, from their jobs, and went and volunteered to go over there and take care of the people that really had great, great needs,” said Senator Jackson. “It was Governor Lee who said this was the most devastating event the state’s ever had.”…
