NORTH CAROLINA ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — Officials from Taiwan visited North Carolina on Monday to present a donation for Hurricane Helene recovery.
The generous donation of $300,000 will go to the North Carolina Disaster Relief Fund, established by Governor Roy Cooper to help communities impacted by Helene recover.
North Carolina has the second largest Taiwanese community in the U.S. Southeastern region, and there are longstanding economic and cultural ties between the people of North Carolina and the people of Taiwan.
