22 Alabama counties under Fire Danger Advisory amid statewide drought

COVINGTON COUNTY, Ala (WDHN) — The Alabama Forestry Commission has issued a Fire Danger Advisory for 22 Alabama counties, including three counties that border the Wiregrass.

Covington, Crenshaw, and Conecuh are among the counties placed under the advisory on Thursday afternoon.

The U.S. Drought Monitor released new models Thursday morning, showing large portions of these three counties under a moderate drought. Models also showed that Coffee, Dale, and portions of Geneva counties are seeing “abnormally dry” conditions…
