Kentucky State Police identify Alabama man who fought troopers, hid in cornfield

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The man arrested Thursday after fighting with police, speeding away on Interstate 65 in Hardin County and running into a cornfield is from out of state.

A news release Friday from Kentucky State Police identified the man as 26-year-old Jecore King from Eight Mile, Alabama.

The incident started around 4 p.m. Thursday. A trooper was conducting speed enforcement on I-65 North near the 61 mile marker when he stopped a Dodge Challenger driven by King for speeding. When the trooper asked King to exit the vehicle after smelling marijuana, “a struggle ensued before King returned to the car and fled from the trooper northbound on I-65.”…
