In this series, we’ll look at how each of the Mizzou athletics programs performed this past week.

FOOTBALL

After the first shutout since 2019, Missouri stayed in the final spot of the Associated Press Top 25. Unlike its blowout loss at Kyle Field, the Tigers had plenty of opportunities to get back into this football game. After the 4:50 mark of the second quarter, Tigers starting quarterback Brady Cook’s upper body injury saw him leave the game and never return. Despite the fact Missouri had produced 52 yards of offense, the score was just 3-0. After Drew Pyne came into the game, it was six drives, 42 passing yards and three interceptions and the Tigers never found the scoreboard. Walk-on QB JR Blood was even thrown in for a drive to, ironically, stop the bleeding, but was unable to do so. Coming off the bye week, Cook’s status going forward is in question. Mizzou faces Oklahoma at 6:45 Saturday night on the SEC Network…
