Earthquake detected north of Greeneville

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. (WJHL) — The United States Geological Survey (USGS) detected an earthquake north of Greeneville Tuesday night.

According to the USGS , the 2.3-magnitude earthquake occurred roughly five miles north of Greeneville in the Big Hollow area.

Sheriff: 18 charged after Southwest Va. drug investigations

The USGS reports the earthquake was detected just before 10 p.m.

The earthquake had a depth of about 13.5 miles…
