GREENEVILLE, Tenn. (WJHL) – Farmer recovery events are taking place across the region this week, and one was held in Greeneville on Tuesday that worked to provide local farmers with the assistance they need after Hurricane Helene’s destruction.
“We also have onsite FEMA enhance applicant services this way farmers, farm workers, those working in agriculture, for small businesses can have access and a one-stop shop kind of setting,” said FEMA Disaster Recovery Official Olivia Scriven. “To understand what kind of disaster recovery resources are available to them and to get that critical technical assistance.”
Representatives with both the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) were at the center helping farmers through the application process…
