Non-profit tackles bridge crisis; thousands still need help post-storm devastation

YANCEY COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — The founder of a local non-profit said he has helped restore temporary access to hundreds of private bridges across the region, but the need is much greater.

According to FEMA, more than 6,000 individuals and households have reported damage to their private road or bridge.
