Rain & snow showers overnight with a mild week ahead

The Storm Team 11 Forecast calls for increasing clouds tonight, with rain and snow showers late. There is a 70% chance of rain and snow showers tonight. The low tonight will be 31 degrees.

Early Monday morning, there will be rain and snow showers, mainly along the Tennessee and Virginia border. Along that border, don’t be surprised if you see 2-3 inches. Other places in Southwest Virginia, such as Lebanon, Abingdon, and Wise, will see 1-3 inches of snow. The Tri-Cities could be close to an inch. Greenville, Rogersville, will likely see anywhere between a trace and a dusting. The higher elevations of East Tennessee will see closer to 1-3 inches.

By the afternoon hours on Monday, most of the accumulating snow will melt because highs will be back in the low to mid-40s. The low Monday night will be 25 degrees.

A warmer day is expected on Tuesday with partly cloudy skies. The high on Tuesday will be 48 degrees. The low Tuesday night will be 30 degrees.

Wednesday calls for broken clouds. The high will be 54 degrees on Wednesday. Temperatures are expected to drop fast Wednesday night. The low Wednesday night will be 28 degrees…
