Lois Marie Wilson, 94, of Sandwich, IL passed away Thursday, June 27, 2024 at her home surrounded by her many family members. She was born August 30, 1929 in Peoria, IL the daughter of Oscar and Elizabeth (Janssen) Wesselhoft. She married James E. Wilson on October 14, 1950 in Peoria, IL. She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Sandwich, IL. Jim and Lois Wilson moved to Sandwich, IL in 1970. After going back to school and earning a BS in nursing, an MS and an E.D.D. She was very active in the community, working as a nurse at Sandwich Hospital, teaching nursing at IVCC, on the ambulance crew, and as a nurse at Willow Crest Nursing Home.
She was a wonderful and loving mother and is survived by three daughters, Susan (James) Wright of Killeen, TX, Mary (Loren) Smith of Oswego, IL, Christa (Julian Gorman) Dallmann of Carefree, AZ; six sons, James E. (Jane) Wilson, Jr. of Carol Stream, IL, Daniel (Francia) Wilson of Sheridan, IL, Thomas (Jodi) Wilson of Sandwich, IL, Jonathon (Jamie) Wilson of Sugar Grove, IL, Timothy (Siri Engstrom) Wilson of Carlinville, IL, and Mark (Angie) Wilson of Apache Junction, AZ.
