Village of Dixmoor announces Shop with a Cop dates (Dixmoor, IL) – Dixmoor Village President Fitzgerald Roberts along with Clerk Juanita Darden and Police Chief Lionel Smith are teaming up to bring the Shop with a Cop program to Dixmoor.
Shop with a Cop is a nationally recognized initiative to help foster good relationships between police officers and children in the community. The program aims to help kids in need by providing underprivileged kids with vouchers that they can use to make purchases at a store with a police chaperone.
“This is a great opportunity to bring kids and cops together in a positive way,” Smith said. “We will be shopping with four kids from our local elementary schools. This is an event our officers look forward to every year.”…
