All hands on deck as Florida recovers abandoned boats after Helene and Milton

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WFLA) — The storm surge that came with hurricanes Helene and Milton displaced hundreds of boats around the Tampa Bay area, leaving some owners with no clue where their boat ended up.

“I want everybody, all hands on deck to get things cleaned-up as quickly as possible,” said Governor Ron DeSantis.

According to the Florida Fish Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) , boats were pushed ashore, damaged, partially or fully sunk, some were relocated, while others remain afloat…
