MIRAMAR BEACH, Fla. — The doctor who’s accused of mistakenly removing a man’s liver just recently had his Alabama medical license suspended.
WEAR News learned on Friday that the Alabama Medical Licensure Commission has ordered a summary suspension of Dr. Thomas Shaknovky’s license. His medical license in Florida was suspended several weeks ago.
Shaknovky is accused of removing William Bryan’s liver instead of his spleen during surgery at Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast hospital in August. Bryan died on the operating table…
