Tax Collector’s Office Collects Socks For Homeless Children

Palm Beach County Tax Collector Anne M. Gannon recently announced the results of her office’s holiday sock drive to benefit Living Hungry, a local nonprofit.

“We challenged our employees to donate 3,000 pairs of socks for homeless students in our local schools, and our employees demonstrated their commitment to our community and exceeded that goal by collecting 4,011 pairs of socks,” Gannon said. “This year’s sock collection surpassed all previous year’s collection amounts, and I am so proud of our employees.”

Socks are one of the most-requested items among homeless children. The socks will soon be distributed to homeless school children in Palm Beach County. Living Hungry is a local charity that partners with the school district to deliver supplies to homeless students in Palm Beach County…
