OSHTEMO TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Kalamazoo County Dispatch said it answered close to half a million calls in 2024, with all of it done by a team of less than 50 people.
It’s close to an average of 10,000 calls per person, but now that same team is analyzing the calls to do even better this year.
The agency hopes the new year will bring in even more staff, and now they have an AI system to help handle the workload…
