Minor 2.9 earthquake felt in northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio

HICKSVILLE, OH (WTVB) – A very rare minor earthquake that had a magnitude of 2-point-9 was reported Sunday morning in parts of northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio.

According to the United States Geological Survey, the quake was reported at 6:46 a.m. with an epicenter about a half mile southeast of Hicksville, Ohio. It had a depth of 9.5 kilometers.

Nearly 60 people in the area said they felt the quake and items in homes rattled but no damage was reported…
