No. 14/16 North Dakota falls, 5-1, to No. 4/5 Western Michigan in weekend finale

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – No. 14/16 North Dakota dropped a 5-1 decision to No. 4/5 Western Michigan on Saturday night from a sold-out Ralph Engelstad Arena in Grand Forks, N.D.

UND (12-10-1, 7-5-0 NCHC) could not overcome a 3-0 deficit, as the Broncos (15-4-1, 8-1-1) capped off the sweep and took five-of-six points in the league standings.

Cameron Berg scored the lone goal of the night for the hosts, wiring home his sixth of the season in just 11 games while goaltender T.J. Semptimphelter finished with 37 saves on 42 shots against to drop to 10-7-1 on the season…
