FIRST WARN FORECAST: More mist through the evening, chance for showers to begin the week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – The fall season kicked off on a dreary note! We ended up picking up some good and beneficial rainfall in the region. Some spots saw over 2 inches in the last two days. We will keep some sprinkles around into Sunday evening, but generally, the significant rain has already fallen. Temperatures drop into the mid-50s for early Monday morning. We might have a random shower or two on Monday, with a better chance to the southeast of the KC metro. Still, some extra cloud coverage early on will help keep our temperatures at bay on Monday afternoon in the mid to upper 60s. I think those northwest of KC will see a bit more sunshine and could be a touch warmer, with those southeast of KC having more clouds. There is another 30% chance for a few showers on Tuesday afternoon. Confidence is not overly high for big impacts, but it is something we will watch closely. The middle of the week looks quiet and beautiful with highs in the 70s! We will keep those 70s through next weekend as well. There could be a larger storm system that will bring more rain to the area for next weekend, but right now our computer models greatly differ on timing and placement. We are keeping chances on the lower end as of now and will fine-tune as we get a bit closer.
