Investigation opened after Kansas City firetruck comes under gunfire

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – An investigation has opened after a Kansas City firetruck came under gunfire while headed to a call near the Blue Hills neighborhood.

The Kansas City, Missouri, Fire Department says that around 11:55 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13, emergency crews had been driving a pumper to a call near 53rd and Prospect Ave. when first responders came under gunfire.

Emergency crews said no first responders were injured during the incident. The Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department has been called to investigate…
