Texas man charged with felony theft in Kansas City porch pirate case

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A Texas man was charged this week with three counts of felony theft in a porch pirate case in Kansas City, Missouri.

According to court documents, 22-year-old Erick Alvarado-Mendez was arrested and charged Wednesday after stealing several packages from a home in the area south of Budd Park.

A probable cause document from the Kansas City Missouri Police Department alleges Alvarado-Mendez was taken into custody and found in possession of a folded blanket, stuffed animal and Stanley cup in original packaging…
