NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – A recent study of lead pipes in New Orleans found that the highest concentrations of lead pipes connecting homes to the water system exists in the oldest neighborhoods in the city, including the Marigny and Bywater.
The study, by the Water Collaborative of Greater New Orleans, found 88 percent of homes tested in the city had water that contained some level of lead contamination.
