ATLANTA ( WRBL ) — The Better Business Bureau (BBB) of Georgia is warning shoppers of new scams this holiday season and says online shopping scams have gone up 125%.
The Better Business Bureau says red flags this Black Friday include sellers asking you to pay through a gift card, multiple items for the price of one and urgent payment through Cash App or Venmo.
“If you see an add and someone is like here is $500 gift card if you just give me your email from target. And you put in your email and we will send it to you. That’s a way for people to get your information and a big thing we recommend is do not give your personal information on the internet, like if there’s a deal do not give your information and really do your research,” said Taelore Hicks with the Better Business Bureau in Atlanta…
