PASCO, Wash. – The state soccer tournament kicked off with an exciting matchup between the Chiawana Riverhawks and the Issaquah Eagles. The Eagles traveled to Pasco and delivered a strong performance, scoring twice in the first half and maintaining a solid defense throughout the game. This led to a 2-0 victory over Chiawana, marking an upset in the first round.
Chiawana is still in search of their first-ever state playoff win, a goal that remains elusive after this defeat.
