A pair of local events offer people an opportunity to burn some calories, get some fresh air and support a pair of causes on Thanksgiving Day.
Before sitting down for your holiday meal, consider participating in the Hermiston Athletic Club’s annual Turkey Day 5K or the Stanfield Walking Group’s Turkey Trot Walk/Run. Both events are held on Nov. 28.
The Turkey Day 5K begins at 9 a.m. at the Oxbow Trail, 1311 W. Elm Ave., Hermiston. Participants can walk, jog or run during this non-competitive event. Also, well-behaved pets are welcome…
