On December 11, a group of dissenters filed a lawsuit against the state for its adoption of I-2066, pushing back on the majority of Washingtonians who voted to protect natural gas and energy choice in the state.
Initiative I-2066, known as the Natural Gas Policies Measures, or “Stop the Gas Ban,” had significant support in its efforts to give Washington residents an energy choice. This initiative gathered over 550,000 signatures in less than eight weeks, and was successful on the November 2024 ballot.
According to Let’s Go Washington, “various unions and lobbyists for the climate grift are enraged that the people voted against their monetary interests, and now they’re working to undo the work that has been done the only way they know how – with a lawsuit.”…
