Driver charged after crashing into Winston-Salem diner, troopers say

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A driver is being charged after crashing into a 66 Diner in Winston-Salem, according to troopers with Highway Patrol.

66 Diner on Old Hollow Road in Winston-Salem currently has a sizeable hole in its side after a pickup crashed into the dining area, leaving piles of bricks and concrete behind as snow fell Friday, Jan. 10.

Troopers said the driver was going too fast in the snow, leading to the crash. He was charged for going too fast. The driver has not been identified at this time…
