A fan-favorite restaurant in New Paltz, NY has announced its “official closing date”.
A little over a month ago we told you that one of the best “hidden gem” restaurants in New Paltz, NY was going to be clsoing its doors after almost 10 years of serving the New Paltz area. At the time they informed fans that they were dealing with what they called “unsustainable lease terms”. Now it appears that they weren’t able to figure out a solution and will be closing for good.
Huckleberry in New Paltz, New York
Back in September the owners of Huckleberry located at 21 Church St, New Paltz, NY, announced on social media that they were preparing themselves for the restaurant’s pending closure saying, “Unfortunately, we have not been able to come to sustainable lease terms and must prepare ourselves, our staff, and you all for the pending closure of Huckleberry in the near future.” At the time they didn’t announce a closing date but did inform customers that they would be adjusting their hours of operation and their current menu so that current staff can “feel free to move on to other opportunities.”
Closing Date Confirmed
According to the restaurant’s Facebook page, Huckleberry has officially announced its final day of service saying,
“The day none of us have been waiting for is here. Our last service will be Saturday, November 2. We’ll be open every day until then, sharing our love and appreciation for this community that has supported us for so long. Seeing your faces, your families, your pups over the next couple weeks will truly warm our hearts. 💙💙”…
