Man claiming to ‘protect the children’ arrested at Seattle school with handcuffs, weapons

SEATTLE — A man carrying weapons and claiming to be a military official was arrested Thursday after entering Roosevelt High School and saying he was there to “protect the children,” the Seattle Police Department reports.

The suspect, identified by police as Youngmin Choi, 32, from Seattle, was taken into custody for criminal impersonation, burglary, harassment, and possession of weapons at the school.
