KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Two teens are facing charges after they were arrested at a grocery store in East Knoxville on Monday.
Detectives with the Knox County Sheriff’s Office apprehended a 17-year-old who was wanted on charges of aggravated robbery and other crimes, the sheriff’s office released. They also arrested Elijah Hall, 19, of Knoxville who was wanted on a charge of theft, KCSO said.

Law enforcement arrested both at Walmart on Kinzel Way. Both Hall and the juvenile were armed and attempted to flee, but were caught without incident, KCSO reported.
The juvenile was wanted previously on outstanding charges for theft over $10,000, violation of home placement, aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary, carjacking, possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, theft over $2500, and handgun possession prohibited. They are also facing the following new charges:
- Prohibited weapons — fully automatic weapon
- Drugs schedule 2 for resale
- Drugs schedule 6 for resale
- Handgun possession prohibited
- Possession during the commission of a dangerous felony
- Reckless endangerment
- Child endangerment
- Resisting arrest
- Fleeing
- Tampering with evidence
- Possession of burglary tools
